There are numerous resources available for teens who may be facing challenges in relationships or other aspects of their lives. These resources provide information, support, and guidance to help teens navigate various issues. This list is vetted to the best of PIPS ability but accuracy and organizational affiliation cannot be guaranteed. This is for informational purposes only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any physical or mental disorder. This is not a substitute for treatment from a licensed mental health professional. If you are in crisis, please contact your local crisis center, call 911, go to your local emergency room, or text home to 988. Here are some key resources: 

1.   Loveisrespect.org:

·       Loveisrespect offers information and support to teens experiencing dating abuse. They provide online chat, a 24/7 helpline, and resources to help individuals understand healthy relationships.

2.   Break the Cycle:

·       Website: Break the Cycle

·       Break the Cycle focuses on ending dating abuse and promoting healthy relationships among young people. They provide educational resources, toolkits, and information on legal rights.

3.   RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network):

·       Website: RAINN

·       RAINN is the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the United States. They offer a National Sexual Assault Hotline (1-800-656-HOPE) and provide resources for survivors of sexual assault.

4.   TeenLine:

·       Website: TeenLine

·       TeenLine is a helpline for teenagers that provides support for a variety of issues, including relationships, mental health, and family problems. They offer online chat, text, and email support.

5.   Planned Parenthood - Teens:

·       Website: Planned Parenthood - Teens

·       Planned Parenthood provides information on sexual health, relationships, and well-being for teens. They offer resources on consent, healthy relationships, and sexual education.

6.   National Runaway Safeline:

·       For teens facing difficult situations at home, the National Runaway Safeline provides support, resources, and a confidential hotline (1-800-RUNAWAY).

7.   It Gets Better Project:

·       This project provides support and resources for LGBTQ+ teens. It aims to inspire hope for young people facing harassment or discrimination based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

8.   National Suicide Prevention Lifeline:

·    In times of crisis, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK) provides confidential support for individuals contemplating suicide or those concerned about someone else.

Remember, if a teen is in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, it's crucial to contact emergency services or an emergency contact immediately. Encouraging open communication and providing information about available resources can empower teens to seek help when needed.
