    Dr. Bartholomew's Approach

    Dr. Bartholomew uses an integrative approach in her work with patients. This means she uses tools from several different theories of psychology to help you improve yourself. Specifically, she draws from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic approaches to help you achieve your goals. Her approach is collaborative, gentle, and direct. Dr. Bartholomew treats patients ages 14 and up with concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic health issues, and stages of life concerns. She is also interested in the treatment of Highly Sensitive People.

    About Me

    Dr. Lauren (she/her) grew up in Pennsylvania and earned her doctorate at The American School of Professional Psychology in Arlington, Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, photography, crafting, hiking, yoga, working out, playing video games, and reading.


    Lilly is a certified therapy dog. She's hypoallergenic, weighs about 17 pounds, and loves to greet patients in the waiting room. Lilly is a cavanese; half King Charles cavalier spaniel, half havanese. During telehealth, she can often be heard snoring from her bed or occasionally barking at neighborhood squirrels.

    Dr. Dunlap's Approach

    Dr. Dunlap draws from a wide range of therapeutic backgrounds including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and expressive therapies to ensure that every client receives a therapeutic experience that is as unique as they are. Her areas of clinical expertise include anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, social skills, and relationship problems. With her specialization in games and mental health, she has a comprehensive understanding of geek and gamer culture, including the unique stresses faced by streamers, content creators, and game developers. Dr. Dunlap is passionate about games and gaming as a cultural competence and frequently utilizes tabletop, digital games, and geek culture as part of the therapeutic process.

    About Me

    Dr. Kelli Dunlap, PsyD (she/her) holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and a masters in game design. Outside of the therapy office, Dr. Dunlap is internationally recognized as an expert on games and mental health. Her work has been published in book chapters and peer-reviewed journals and she has been an invited speaker at both mental health and game industry events including the Game Developers Conference, the American Psychological Association’s Tech, Mind, & Society conference, and UNESCO. In addition, she is currently an adjunct professor of game design at American University.
